Lionel Simons has a BSc.Econ from the London School of Economics and was awarded one of seven Leverhulme Scholarships.
He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.
While managing director of England's Denbyware Limited from 1970 to 1977, a manufacturing company with over 1,000 employees, he increased sales from £6 million to £14 million and took the company public on to the London Stock Exchange.
