Prior to joining Westpeak in 2004, Dr. Sneddon was employed by State Street Global Advisors, most recently as Senior Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Research Leader, responsible for research and management of active and strategic asset allocation portfolios.
From 2001 through January 2004, he was Deputy Director, Principal, of SSgA’s Advanced Research Center, with responsibilities including research and product development of U.S., European, Japanese, and International equity strategies, as well as a global TAA strategy.
Dr. Sneddon developed an equity research tool suite, which he used in the testing of a wide range of models and signals.
From 1995 to 2001, he was a Portfolio Manager and then a Senior Portfolio Manager, managing active U.S.
and international equity portfolios.
From 1989 to 1995, Dr. Sneddon was a Project Manager at The Analytic Sciences Corporation, in Reading, Massachusetts, where he used statistics and computer technology to deliver solutions to U.S.
defense and intelligence departments.
He was an Assistant Professor of Physics at Brandeis University from 1982 to 1989.
Dr. Sneddon held research positions at Oxford University, Bell Laboratories and Princeton University from 1978 to 1982.
He received a B.Sc.
with First Class Honors and University Medal from the University of Sydney, an M.Sc.
in Applied Mathematics from the University of New South Wales, and a Ph.D.
in Theoretical Physics from Oxford University.
Dr. Sneddon is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
