Mr. Basar joined RCF Management in July 2004.
Previously, he was employed by Massey Energy Co. as Principal and worked to improve the operational efficiency of its room and pillar and longwall coal complexes in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Before joining Massey Energy, Mr. Basar worked for American Rock Salt.
During his employment with American Rock Salt, where he was involved in the construction of its Hampton Corners underground mine, seeing it from a greenfields project to a producing mine.
Mr. Basar holds bachelors and masters degrees in Mining Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
