John J.
Toole has been Senior Vice President of Corporate Development since March 2008.
He joined Gilead in April 1990 as Director of Molecular and Cellular Biology and was promoted to Vice President-Biology in May 1996, Vice President-Clinical Research in 1998 and Senior Vice President-Clinical Research in August 2003.
Dr. Toole was Founding Scientist of Genetics Institute, Inc. He received a PhD in Molecular Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MD from the Stanford University School of Medicine.
