Dr. Bitran co-founded ClearStream in 2005.
He has been a Professor of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-Sloan School of Business since 1978.
He has several years of experience in the field of quantitative financial modeling.
His innovations in the quantitative modeling of financial markets have emerged from research on the optimal pricing of goods and services including airline seat and hotel room inventory, high-technology services, fashion retail goods and the design of bandwidth markets.
He has published several research papers on these topics.
He is the past President of the Production & Operations Management Society and past Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Management Science.
Dr. Bitran received a Masters in Operations Research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974 and a PhD in Operations Research from MIT in 1975.
He also received a Masters of Industrial Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Polytechnic School in 1971.
