Mr. Edward Truant is Partner at Imperial Capital Group Ltd. He joined Imperial Capital in 1997.
He played a key role in the acquisition of Pacific Coast Publishing, an independent yellow pages publisher, through parent company, YPtel Corporation, which was established to facilitate the acquisition.

He was involved with the financing of an early stage software company, a shareholder buy-out transaction for a company involved in the fine fragrance industry, the sale of an interactive games software company, and a $21 million subordinated debt financing of an entertainment services company.
Previously, Mr. Truant was both an audit senior and a tax specialist with Coopers & Lybrand, an international public accounting firm, where he had articled while obtaining his chartered accountancy designation in 1993.
He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 1991.
In 1997, he obtained his Chartered Business Valuator designation.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, and the Cambridge Club.
