Derek Harris

Mr. Derek Harris is a Portfolio Strategist at BofA Securities, Inc. He is also a Managing Director and Head of Global Wealth Management Portfolio and Investment Strategy for Global Research and is also Deputy Director of Americas Equity Research.
In his Portfolio Strategy role, he is responsible for providing strategic investment guidance related to constructing and managing equity portfolios.
Mr. Harris also serves as vice chairman of the Americas Research Recommendations Committee, responsible for leading the committee in the review and approval of initial opinions, ratings changes, and material price objective changes across the Americas region.
He served as Head of Global Research Marketing and Deputy Head of the Asia Pacific Research Recommendations Committee from February 2009 to May 2012.
He is based in New York.
Previously, Mr. Harris was Head of Equity Products Marketing at Banc of America Securities from 2005 to 2009.
Mr. Harris began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1993 in Equity Sales.
He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics.
