Deborah Walker

Prior to joining Innovation Works, Ms. Walker served as an attorney since 1994, and her areas of strength and experience include a wide range of corporate and business matters and transactions.
Ms. Walkers experience with start-up technology companies includes her recent tenure as corporate counsel at CoManage Corporation which was acquired by Syndesis Ltd., an early-stage, software development company located in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
While at CoManage Ms. Walker negotiated and prepared software licensing, confidentiality, services, consulting and distribution agreements, and was involved in a variety of legal matters typically addressed by small companies.
Prior to her employment at CoManage, Ms. Walker practiced law as an Associate Attorney in the Business and Finance section of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP.
Ms. Walker started in the Los Angeles office of Morgan Lewis in 1997 and transferred to the firms Pittsburgh office in 1999.
While at Morgan Lewis, Ms. Walker's experience included a wide range of corporate matters and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, representing issuers and purchasers in private placements of equity, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.
Ms. Walker is a graduate of Stanford University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a dual major in political science and journalism.
In 1994, Ms. Walker received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
