David Pierce

Mr. David Pierce is on the Board of Directors at ACCION International and Accion International.
Mr. Pierce has worked in East Asian business, investment management and private legal practice since 1982, based at various times in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo.
In addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Squadron Capital, Mr. Pierce is Senior Managing Director of Search Investment Group, with which he has been associated since 2001.
Immediately prior to joining Search Investment Group, Mr. Pierce was a partner in the Shanghai office of an international law firm, where his practice was focused on investments in and business transactions with China, an area of expertise developed since the mid-1980s.
In the 1990s he was president of a China-focused private equity firm.
Mr. Pierce is currently a member of the executive committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital & Private Equity Association as well as of the limited partner advisory committees of a number of private equity funds.
In addition, he serves as a director of Duty Free Shoppers and of several other private companies in which Search Investment Group has equity investments.
Mr. Pierce holds an LLM from the London School of Economics, a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School and a bachelor's degree summa cum laude from Dartmouth College.
He is a member of the California and New York bars.
Mr. Pierce speaks Mandarin Chinese.
