Anton Velinov

Dr. Anton Velinov is a Research Associate at The German Institute for Economic Research.
He started working at the DIW at the beginning of 2013.
His field of interest is in econometrics, with an emphasis on time series analysis.
He investigates fundamental and non-fundamental components of stock prices and the sustainability of public debt.
He did his Ph.D.
study at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy.
At the EUI his supervisor was Prof.
Dr. Helmut Luetke Pohl.
For his thesis, Dr. Velinov uses nonlinear multivariate and univariate time series models, allowing for regime switches according to a Markov process.
