Disney to cut 1,000 jobs to speed up its reorganization
According to Reuters, the Walt Disney group reportedly announced by email the elimination of about 1,000 jobs as part of a reorganization led by its new chief executive, Josh D'Amaro. The move is intended to streamline operations and adapt the company to a fast-changing environment. The cuts will mainly hit marketing teams, which were already reorganized earlier this year, as well as several other divisions, including studios, television, ESPN, products, and technology and corporate functions.
