At the closing bell, the CAC 40 posted a gain of 0.35%, to 8,699 points, allowing it to notch a new closing record, after an intraday record set a few hours earlier (8,742 points). The Paris index benefited from Hermès' surge (+5.17%), as well as gains in Orange (+2.64%) and Publicis (+2.18%), to push into highs never previously reached. In Frankfurt, the rise was more modest (+0.15%), while London slipped 0.14%.
