Mumbai-listed Waaree Energies Ltd, through its wholly owned
subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas, has won a contract to supply 540
megawatts (MW) of solar modules to a prominent US-based developer
and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage
projects, Waaree said in a press release.
According to a regulatory filing made on June 27, 2025, the
contract entails the supply of 270 MW of modules in 2025, followed
by another 270 MW between 2027 and 2028. Waaree said that the order
highlights its growing presence in the international renewable
energy market and underscores its capability to support large-scale
solar developments in North America.
While the name of the customer has not been disclosed, the
company described the client as a 'renowned' player in the US solar
sector. The order is classified as a one-time supply agreement and
does not involve any related party transactions, the company
confirmed.
Waaree Energies, headquartered in Mumbai, is among India's
leading solar module manufacturers and has been actively expanding
its global footprint. The company has increasingly focused on
international markets as part of its growth strategy, targeting
large utility-scale projects to strengthen its position as a key
solar technology provider.
