--Volkswagen Group is pushing back the launch of its Trinity electric vehicle model significantly, with production now set to begin at the end of 2032. The model was previously expected to reach markets in 2026, Handelsblatt reports, citing unnamed sources.
--The German carmaker's Chief Executive, Oliver Blume, said the decision was part of a larger EV product launch correction, with the aim of better allocating investment and avoiding the repetition of prior software issues, according to the German newspaper.
--The product's launch was stopped almost two years prior due to software problems. Blume also stopped the construction of a factory for the vehicle model for last year, Handelsblatt reports.
--Volkswagen didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Dow Jones Newswires.
