United Spirits Limited announced completion of second term of Mr. Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Independent Director from end of business hours on 31 March 2025. Consequently, he will also cease to be: Chairperson of Board and of the Company Chairperson of Risk Management Committee and Chairperson of Committee of Directors; Member of Audit Committee. Consequent to the above, approved appointment of Mr. V K Viswanathan as Chairperson of Board and of the Company effective 1 April 2025.
He is already serving as an Independent Director of the Company since 2016. Mr. V K Viswanathan is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and has had an illustrious career with Unilever and Bosch. He retired as Managing Director of Bosch Limited and subsequently served as its Chairperson until August 2019.
