The Toyota Group reports that it sold a total of 955,532 vehicles in May, up 7.5% compared to May 2024. This is the fifth consecutive month of sales growth, it says.

In detail, in May, sales of the Toyota brand (including Lexus) rose 6.9% (to 898,721 vehicles), while those of Daihatsu rose 26.5% (48,150 vehicles) and Hino sales fell 11.1% to 8,661 vehicles.

The group announced that it had produced a total of 906,984 vehicles over the month, up 0.8% (also the fifth consecutive month of growth), with a 0.7% decline for the Toyota brand (806,677 vehicles) and a 20.4% increase for Daihatsu (91,573 vehicles). Finally, Hino's production fell by 26.8% to 8,734 vehicles.
