Goldman Sachs Group said former U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has rejoined the Wall Street giant as a senior adviser.

Goldman on Tuesday said Sunak, who served as prime minister of the U.K. between October 2022 and July 2024, "will work with leaders across the firm to advise our clients globally on a range of important topics, sharing his unique perspectives and insights on the macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape."

Sunak, who also served as the U.K.'s chancellor of the exchequer from February 2020 to July 2022, worked as an analyst at Goldman between 2001 and 2004.

Sunak remains a member of the U.K.'s parliament.
