Synectics plc announced the appointment of Paul Williams as Chief Financial Officer, with effect from 26 August 2025. Paul is a highly accomplished Chief Financial Officer, having gained significant experience across the IT and software sectors. He joins Synectics from CloudCall, a software and unified communications business which was quoted on AIM until January 2022, where he has held the role of Chief Financial Officer for 12 years. Prior to his role at CloudCall, Paul was Chief Financial Officer for the Middle East and India subsidiaries of Columbus A/S, a Danish companyproviding IT software and services globally, and spent 12 years at ECsoft Group plc, an IT services and systems integrator, that was subsequently acquired by US-listed CIBER Inc. Paul joined ECsoft Group plc as UK Financial Controller, before assuming the role group-wide. He remained Group Financial Controller following the acquisition by CIBER Inc. and subsequently became Interim CFO of CIBER's international division. Paul began his career with British Rail and Railtrack and spent four years working with IBM as a financial analyst. Paul is a qualified accountant.
