Jeep-parent Stellantis announced a leadership reshuffle Monday, the first moves by Chief Executive Antonio Filosa as he starts work in his new role.
Filosa, a 25-year company veteran, was named as the new head of the automaker last month following a six-month search, after former boss Carlos Tavares departed last December.
Filosa served as chief operating officer for the Americas and chief quality officer before taking the top job, and he said Monday that he will retain the role of head of North America and American brands.
Chief Financial Officer Doug Ostermann will take on responsibility for mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, while Jean-Philippe Imparato continues in his role as head of enlarged Europe & European brands, which will now also include Maserati.
Emanuele Cappellano joins the Stellantis leadership team in his role of head of South America and takes responsibility for Stellantis Pro One, the company's commercial vehicles business unit.
Philippe de Rovira is appointed to lead the rest of world and retains responsibility for Stellantis financial services, while Davide Mele joins the leadership team to lead product planning.
Monica Genovese is appointed head of purchasing, Scott Thiele takes on a newly created role as head of supply chain and joins the leadership team, bringing together activities previously covered in planning and manufacturing.
"The team structure emphasizes the choice of locating product decision-making close to the regions where Stellantis' cumulative knowledge is second to none," CEO Filosa said in a statement.
Head of quality Sebastien Jacquet, and head of corporate affairs & communications Clara Ingen-Housz join the leadership team.
Stellantis said that Maxime Picat, chief purchasing and supplier quality officer and chief operating officer for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, and Chief Planning Officer Beatrice Foucher are leaving the company.
