Business description: SSE plc

SSE plc specializes in producing and distributing energy. Net sales break down by activity as follows:

- distribution of electricity and gas (46.2%). The group also supports its customers in their energy transformation;

- energy commodities trading and optimisation of portfolios of energy-related assets (19%);

- transmission of electricity (11.9%);

- management of electricity distribution networks (11%): around 4 million homes and businesses served in 2025/26;

- production of renewable and thermal energy (10.6%);

- other (1.3%): installation of electrical equipment, thermal insulation systems and security systems for private and professional customers, etc.

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United Kingdom (78%), Ireland (21.9%) and Southern Europe (0.1%).
