On March 28, 2025, the Board of Directors of Southwest Airlines Co. unanimously appointed J. Ryan Martinez to assume the responsibilities of the Company?s principal accounting officer, effective April 1, 2025, at which time Tammy Romo will step down from that role. Mr. Martinez, 45, is the Company?s Senior Vice President Finance & Controller.
He previously served as Vice President Investor Relations of the Company from 2021 to 2023 and Managing Director Investor Relations from 2017 to 2021. Mr. Martinez did not enter into any material plan, contract, or arrangement or material amendment or receive any grant or award in connection with his designation as principal accounting officer.
