SES announced on Thursday that it had been selected by Brazil's public telecoms operator Telebras to deploy a digital inclusion program targeting the country's most remote areas.
The satellite operator states that the project involves the creation of more than 1,500 high-speed Internet access points in schools, public administrations, libraries, health centers and indigenous villages, mainly located in the north of the country.
The group specifies that it will provide connectivity services from its SES-17 Ka-band satellite, while ensuring network maintenance.
