At 10:47 GMT, Scor was up 3.5%, one of the best performers on the Stoxx 600, which at the same time was nibbling away at 0.02%.
Media outlets Betaville and Insurance Insider reported on Tuesday that mutual insurer Covéa had resumed talks with Scor with a view to a possible takeover.
Covéa had already attempted to buy the reinsurance group in 2018.
Scor says it does not comment on rumors or market speculation.
