The Company's investment objective is to provide a high rate of total return through investment in equities and equity-related securities of companies trading in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan). It also seeks to offer a degree of capital preservation through the use of derivative instruments. It invests principally in a diversified portfolio of 40-70 companies operating primarily in Asia, including Australasia but excluding Japan. It invests in companies listed on the stock markets of countries located in the region and/or listed elsewhere but controlled from within the region and/or with material exposure to the region. It invests in various sectors, such as information technology, financials, consumer discretionary, industrials, healthcare, communication services, materials, real estate, utilities and others. Its alternative investment fund manager is Schroder Unit Trusts Limited.
