WALLDORF (dpa-AFX) - Europe's largest software manufacturer SAP is once again making changes to its top management team. Head of Marketing Julia White (50) and Head of Sales Scott Russell (50) will leave the company on August 31 following an agreement with the Supervisory Board, as the DAX heavyweight announced in Walldorf on Tuesday. The search for Russell's successor is already underway, it said. The sale of subscriptions for the use of SAP programs via the network (cloud), which was particularly pushed by CEO Christian Klein, has recently been running smoothly. However, customers still prefer to use the technical delivery channels favored by SAP and the most profitable for the Group. Klein is now taking over Russell's tasks himself on an interim basis.
White's Management Board division, Marketing & Solutions, will be dissolved as of September 1 - the tasks will mainly be transferred to the existing product and communication divisions. "Against the backdrop of SAP's successful cloud transformation, the Supervisory Board is of the opinion that
that now is the right time to usher in the next phase of growth," said Pekka Ala-Pietilä, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, who took over the role of Chief Control Officer from co-founder and major shareholder Hasso Plattner in May.
CEO Klein and the supervisory board have been working on the right top management line-up for some time now. In April, the Group created a new Management Board department for the introduction of cloud software for customers, which is also intended to improve customer satisfaction. There was also a change in the HR position. Chief Financial Officer Dominik Asam has also only been on board since March 2023. Below the Executive Board, SAP appointed former Microsoft manager Walter Sun as Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) last year./men/nas
