River UK Micro Cap Limited, formerly River and Mercantile UK Micro Cap Investment Company Limited, is a closed-ended investment company. The Company's investment objective is to achieve long term capital growth from investment in a diversified portfolio of United Kingdom micro-cap companies, typically comprising companies with a free float market capitalization of less than Â£100 million at the time of purchase. The number of holdings in the portfolio will usually range between 30 and 50. It may from time to time take sizeable positions in portfolio companies. However, in such circumstances, it does not normally intend to hold more than 25% of the capital of a single investee company at the time of investment. It may invest in other investment funds, including listed closed-ended investment funds, to gain investment exposure to United Kingdom micro-cap companies. Carne Global AIFM Solutions (C.I.) Limited is its alternative investment fund manager.
