Rio Tinto announces the appointment of Georgie Bezette as Chief People Officer, replacing James Martin, who will retire at the end of 2024.
Currently Chief Operating Officer, People, Georgie Bezette will take up his new position on January 1, 2025 in London.
The appointment is part of the company's cultural transformation strategy, welcomed by CEO Jakob Stausholm, who highlighted her leadership and commitment to talent development and inclusion.
James Martin will remain an advisor for a further year, says the Group.
