The family of Thai entrepreneur Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash in 2018, has filed a £2.15 billion lawsuit against Italian helicopter manufacturer Leonardo SpA in a London court.

In a statement, the family said the lawsuit represents the largest fatal accident claim in British history.

Srivaddhanaprabha was the owner of the soccer club Leicester City, which he bought in 2010.

Leonardo did not respond at this time to an emailed request for comment.
