On June 27, 2025, the board of directors of Godfrey Phillips India Limited approved the appointment of Ms. Jaishree Tolani as General Counsel and Senior Management Personnel of the Company in place of Mr. Rajesh Nair, who has since resigned from the position of Vice President-Legal of the Company, effective August 31, 2025. Date of Appointment of Jaishree Tolani: 1 July 2025 or such other date as may be mutually decided. Ms. Jaishree Tolani was associated with the prominent law firm AZB & Partners for 14 years and was a Partner at the time of leaving them in December 2023.
Since then, she has been working as an Independent Legal Practitioner and as `Of Counsel' to AZB & Partners. Her key practice areas have been mergers, acquisitions & restructuring, venture capital & private equity funds, banking & finance, capital markets, litigation, and corporate advisory. During her stint with AZB, she has advised host of corporate clients across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, e- commerce and retail trading, banking, financial services & insurance, media & broadcasting, telecommunications, aviation, healthcare, hospitality, renewable energy and education on varied subject matters.
