Franklin Templeton unveiled Intraday Yield as a new feature of the company's Benji Technology Platform. This proprietary innovation enables proportional calculation and distribution of yield, down to the second, when a tokenized security is transferred from one party to another. This means an investor can own a tokenized security for part of the day, transfer it to another investor, and still earn yield for the period they were a shareholder.

In addition to accounting for share transfers, the Benji Technology Platform also enables precisely calculated yield to be paid out each calendar day, including weekends and holidays. Tapping into the promise of the blockchain, this patent-pending technology represents a significant improvement to the prevailing industry standard where share ownership is often determined, and yield is typically calculated, at the end of a trading day and distributed to investors at the end of the month. The Benji Technology Platform is Franklin Templeton's proprietary blockchain-integrated stack, designed to facilitate trading, management, and administration of token-based investments.

The platform is available as a white label technology for banks or asset managers to tokenize securities, or via one of several tokenized money market funds launched by Franklin Templeton for a variety of global institutional and retail use cases. Using this platform, Franklin Templeton launched the world's first U.S.-registered mutual fund in 2021 using blockchain-integrated technology to process transactions and record share ownership. In 2024 the firm also leveraged the Benji Technology Platform to launch the first fully tokenized UCITS fund in Luxembourg, and secured regulatory approval to launch the first retail tokenized fund in Singapore in 2025.

In addition to Intraday Yield, the firm has introduced several additional new capabilities via the Benji Technology Platform, including a solution to allow compliant, permissioned wallet-to-wallet token transfers on supported blockchain networks, as well as functionality to allow the purchase or redemption of tokenized securities using stablecoins. The Benji Technology platform is used by a growing community of retail and institutional investors. These include corporate treasurers managing liquid reserves, venture capital firms leveraging the platform as a programmable funding tool, and hedge fund trading desks accessing on-chain collateral that can move seamlessly across blockchain networks.

The Benji Investments App is available for individual investors in the US on Android and iOS. Global institutions can access the platform through the Benji Institutional web portal, or through their own white label deployment.
