(Alliance News) - Plenitude has increased its installed capacity from renewable sources in Spain by 400 megawatts to about 950 megawatts between photovoltaic and wind projects, more than double its 2023 target, Il Messaggero wrote Wednesday.
In particular, the company has completed the 150-megawatt Caparacena photovoltaic plant in Granada, which is divided into three photovoltaic parks of about 50 megawatts each.
The connection to the national grid is through a 400-kilowatt substation that has already been built, and a second substation along with a 200-kilowatt line shared with other operators, the newspaper further reports.
Plenitude has also developed facilities in the solar parks of Renopool, in Extremadura, and Guillena, in Andalusia, with a total installed capacity of about 250 megawatts.
According to the newspaper, thanks to these initiatives, the company has reached its goal of 4 gigawatts of installed capacity globally in 2024.
In addition, the company has a pipeline of projects under construction for another 820 megawatts, which are expected to be completed between 2025 and 2026.
