Eni: towards cooperation with SOCAR in Azerbaijan

Eni announces that its CEO Claudio Descalzi has signed a memorandum of understanding in Baku with the CEO of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic).

The two companies intend to explore opportunities for cooperation in hydrocarbon exploration and production, energy security and efficiency, GHG emissions reduction, gas transportation infrastructure and sustainability.

This protocol is in line with Eni's decarbonization strategy aiming at carbon neutrality by 2050 and in view of COP 29 in Azerbaijan in November 2024.
