Eni has taken precautionary measures by reducing its personnel presence at the Zubair oil and gas field in Iraq.
This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Italian energy group.
The move follows U.S. strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, joining Israel in the largest Western military action against the Islamic Republic since the 1979 revolution.
Eni stated that it is closely monitoring the situation across the Middle East in coordination with authorities.
Shell and Chevron, which also have operations in Iraq, have not commented on developments that might affect their activities in the country.
"Our top priority is the safety of our personnel, the communities where we operate, the environment, and our facilities," Chevron said in an emailed statement.
