May 3 (Reuters) - British packaging group Mondi said on Friday its volumes for the first three months of 2024 were higher than the previous quarter, thanks to improving demand for its products.

The company, which recently dropped out of a takeover race to buy peer DS Smith, said its recently announced paper price increases were starting to come through in the second quarter. (Reporting by Eva Mathews in Bengaluru; Editing by Savio D'Souza)
