Carrefour announces that it has entered into a partnership with GreenYellow to install and operate photovoltaic energy production equipment on nearly 350 of its hypermarket and supermarket parking lots in France.

The shaded areas equipped with solar panels will, over the next three years, generate around 450 GWh of electricity per year, covering around 20% of Carrefour stores' needs, at very attractive rates.

This initiative is part of the Carrefour 2026 plan and its ambition to enhance the value of real estate assets, reflected in a photovoltaic energy production target in France, Spain and Brazil of 1 TWh per year from 2027.
