Builders FirstSource, Inc. announced it has appointed Gayatri Narayan to the newly created role of President, Technology and Digital Solutions, reporting to CEO Peter Jackson. In this role, Ms. Narayan will be responsible for the continued development and delivery of innovative digital products and launching digitally enabled business models. She will also lead the Company's Paradigm subsidiary, which provides digital solutions and services for the building products industry.
Ms. Narayan has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience. She joins the Company from PepsiCo, where she led Digital Product development across frontline sales, manufacturing and revenue management. Prior to PepsiCo, Ms. Narayan was General Manager at Microsoft, responsible for Enterprise Digital Solutions in Communications and Conversational AI.
She also spent more than six years at Amazon in various leadership roles improving profitability, global expansion, and market share growth across multiple retail categories, leveraging technology and digitally enabled business models. Ms. Narayan earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Bharathiar University India. Tim Page, who most recently served as executive vice president of digital solutions, will remain with the Company in a strategic project management role.
He will work closely with Ms. Narayan to ensure a seamless transition.
Builders FirstSource, Inc. specializes in the manufacture and marketing of building materials and products primarily for the home building sector. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- prefabricated windows, doors and joinery products (25.8%);
- lumber and wood panels (25.5%): wood planks, lumber, wood panelling, bracing, plywood, OSB, etc.;
