In 2024, despite a challenging market landscape, the BMW Group successfully continued its upward trajectory in Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales. A total of 426,594 all-electric vehicles were delivered to customers, representing remarkable growth of 13.5 percent.

Strong growth

Both BMW and MINI showed strong double-digit BEV growth. BMW delivered 368,523 all-electric vehicles, up 11.6 percent, while MINI posted a 24.3 percent increase with 56,181 BEVs sold. The Rolls-Royce brand also experienced significant growth, delivering 1,890 BEVs, a remarkable 479.6 percent increase.

Market expansion

The BMW brand saw an expansion in deliveries across all vehicle drive lines in international markets with the exception of China. Jochen Goller, member of the Executive Board of BMW AG and responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales, said, "The BMW Group is steadfastly continuing its growth path in all-electric vehicles even amid challenging market conditions. This is demonstrated both by the significant growth in BEV sales and the clear upward trend in new BEV orders within Europe."

Goller further expressed confidence that the company will continue BEV sales into 2025, thanks to a robust and comprehensive product range.
