Airbus said it will ask its shareholders to support the continuation of Guillaume Faury's mandate as chief executive.
The aerospace company said Wednesday that the extension of Faury's mandate will be discussed at Airbus's annual general meeting next year.
Faury was first appointed chief executive in 2019 and re-appointed in 2022.
The group also said that Lars Wagner, chief executive of MTU Aero Engines, will succeed Christian Scherer as chief executive of Airbus's Commercial Aircraft business.
