Air France-KLM announced on Tuesday the appointment of Florence Parly as Chair of the Group's Board of Directors, effective June 4, 2025.

Florence Parly, who served as France's Minister of the Armed Forces during Emmanuel Macron's first term (2017-2022), joined the airline's board in December 2023.

She will succeed Anne-Marie Couderc, who has chaired the board since May 2018 and whose term was set to expire.

"This appointment will take effect at the conclusion of the 2025 General Meeting, which will review the 2024 financial statements and is scheduled for next June 4," the company said in a statement.

Parly, who was Secretary of State for the Budget under the Jospin government from 2000 to 2002, also held executive positions at Air France between 2006 and 2014.
