U.K. to Launch New January 2040 Gilt Via Syndication in Week Starting Sept. 2

The U.K. Debt Management Office plans to launch a new January 2040 gilt through syndication in the week starting Sept. 2, subject to demand and market conditions, it said on Wednesday.

It will be the fourth syndication by the DMO in the fiscal year 2024-25.

"Further details of this transaction, including the appointment of the syndicate and the coupon on the new gilt, will be announced in due course," DMO said.

The DMO has raised 21.6 billion pounds ($27.8 billion) through the previous three syndications since the start of the fiscal year in April.
