Export sales of U.S. corn for the week ended Nov. 28 topped the forecast of analysts surveyed by The Wall Street Journal this week.
In its latest weekly report issued Thursday, the Department of Agriculture said sales of corn across the 2024/25 and 2025/26 marketing years totaled 1.75 million metric tons. That's more than the 800,000 tons to 1.55 million tons forecast by analysts.
Soybean sales totaled 2.31 million tons for the week across both marketing years, landing on the high end of forecasts. Wheat sales totaled 378,200 tons, on the low end of analyst expectations.
Mexico was the leading buyer of U.S. corn and wheat for the week, while China was the top buyer of soybeans. In a separate notice Thursday, the USDA confirmed a new flash sale of 136,000 tons of U.S. soybeans to China, for delivery in 2024/25.
Most-active corn on the CBOT is up 0.1% premarket, while soybeans are up 0.3% and wheat is up 0.6%.
