Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded its upper upscale footprint in India with the launch of Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake, a new luxury resort set across 26 acres near Fatehsagar Lake. The opening strengthens Wyndham's presence in one of the country's strongest wedding, leisure, and cultural tourism markets and adds to the brand's global portfolio of 90 Wyndham Grand hotels.

The launch event brought together industry leaders, partners, and local dignitaries. Guests were welcomed with flower petals, traditional tika and pag, followed by cultural performances featuring Kachi Ghodi dancers and the sounds of the algoza and kamaycha. Live culinary stations showcased regional flavours, grounding the celebration in the character of Rajasthan.

Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director - Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said, 'Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake represents a defining milestone in our India journey. Udaipur is one of the world's most iconic luxury and wedding destinations, and this opening reinforces our commitment to expanding Wyndham's upper-upscale footprint in markets where culture, heritage, and hospitality come together beautifully. With Wyndham Grand, we are entering into the luxury space in India with a brand that truly reflects elevated experiences and global sophistication. This resort is a perfect blend of Rajasthan's timeless charm and Wyndham's global standards, designed to deliver unforgettable experiences to both domestic and international travellers.'

The resort features 140 guestrooms and suites inspired by Udaipur's architectural heritage, with select suites offering whirlpool bathtubs. A Palace Wing with 60 additional rooms will follow. Dining includes Pyaala, Shakahari, and O Sian, offering vegetarian Indian and international cuisine. The property also offers large event venues, including an amphitheatre, a grand ballroom, and the Vintage Lawn.

Chirag Maroo, Owner, Wyndham Grand Udaipur, said, 'Our goal with Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake was to create a space deeply connected to the spirit of Udaipur-a place where mornings unfold beside the lake, afternoons are spent exploring palaces and markets, and evenings carry the warmth of true Rajasthani hospitality. From our sweeping amphitheater to palace-inspired guestrooms and quiet corners designed for reflection, every detail was built to offer travellers a sense of discovery and escape.'
