Media company Viaplay Group has now received approval from the Swedish Competition Authority for its acquisition of Allente from Telenor.
The so-called "bundling" service, which allows users to pay a single price to access a variety of TV entertainment services from different operators, was previously owned 50 percent by Viaplay Group JV and 50 percent by Telenor Communication II.
"The Competition Authority's overall assessment is that the concentration is not likely to significantly impede the existence or development of effective competition within the country as a whole or a substantial part of it," the statement reads.
