Media company Viaplay Group has finalized the acquisition of the remaining 50 percent of shares in Allente Group, becoming the sole owner of the business. The news was announced in a press release.

The deal, initially announced on July 17, sees Telenor as the seller. The purchase price amounts to SEK 1.1 billion in cash. Allente is a provider of TV services delivered via satellite and broadband.

The acquisition is financed through available liquid assets and a new loan facility of SEK 1,726 million to refinance Allente's existing debt.

Viaplay has also established a new working capital facility of SEK 2.5 billion and has terminated its guarantee facility of EUR 646 million. When the unchanged bonds and promissory notes totaling SEK 1,858 million are included, the Group's long-term debt will have been significantly reduced to SEK 6.1 billion. Additionally, Viaplay has reduced the size of its revolving credit facility from SEK 3,392 million to SEK 2,817 million.

Viaplay's pro forma financial forecast for 2025 and its long-term ambitions remain unchanged. Transaction costs related to the acquisition are not included in the 2025 guidance and will be determined and reported as items affecting comparability in the results for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Financial guidance for 2026 will be provided in the 2025 year-end report and will reflect the results of the analysis now possible to assess the benefits of acquiring the remaining 50 percent stake in Allente.
