Media company Viaplay Group has named Jonas Karlén as the new Executive Vice President and CEO of Viaplay Group Sweden. He succeeds Johan Johansson and Christian Albeck, who will now focus on their roles as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Content Acquisition, respectively, according to a press release.
Karlén brings extensive experience from senior positions in media and e-commerce, having previously served as CEO of Adlibris, Linas Matkasse, Viaplay AB, and Viasat AB.
"Jonas combines strong operational and strategic leadership with broad industry experience and a deep understanding of our business and audience in Sweden. His background will be extremely valuable as we continue to focus on relevant local content, strong commercial performance, and sustainable growth," said Group CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann.
