Valneva announced on Wednesday the closure of its site in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) in order to concentrate its activities on its facilities in Lyon (Rhône) and Vienna, Austria.
"This consolidation will enable us to streamline operations and improve efficiency in France, while centralizing all R&D activities at the company's site in Vienna," the biotech firm stated in a press release.
The Nantes site currently houses operational activities as well as certain preclinical research and development functions.
The company says it is committed to "supporting its employees throughout this transition and providing assistance to ensure a smooth process for all those affected."
