UBS has rehired Andrew Bird, who joins as head of global wealth management Australia, the bank said. Bird returns to the Swiss giant in April after 10 years at National Australia Bank, where he led its wealth arm, JBWere. He will report into Jin Yee Young, co-head of GWM Apac and locally to Australasia co-heads Nick Hughes and Greg Peirce.
In his new role, Bird will become a member of the bank?s Southeast Asia, Japan, India and Australia management team, as well as its Australia country management forum. Bird was previously a market manager for Melbourne at UBS and has also had stints at Credit Suisse and Citi?s private banks.
