FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - The rise in oil prices weighed on the European real estate sector on Wednesday morning. Alongside commodities and construction stocks, it is showing the clearest reaction to the Iran war returning to the agenda after US strikes. Rising oil prices fuel inflation worries and ultimately make a rate response by central banks more likely again. For commodities and construction names, dampened economic expectations are the main factor.

In the DAX, Vonovia was at the bottom of the index, down 3 percent. Like the real estate sector, the stock had clearly recovered over the past four weeks. Bond yields, and thus market rates, fell sharply from mid-May to the end of June. That supports the financing of transactions in the sector./ag/mis
