Nasdaq Nordic investigated a technical glitch following a sudden drop in the OMXS30 index at approximately 10:01 AM. By midday, the issue was resolved and the index is now displaying the correct figures.
After Wall Street closed on Wednesday, chip giant Nvidia once again released a strong report, but the outlook was perceived by the market as somewhat muted, causing the stock to dip slightly in after-hours trading.
At around 12:50 PM, the OMXS30 index was down 0.29 percent at 3,090.67. Shares worth approximately SEK 7.9 billion had changed hands on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Energy was the best-performing major industrial sector, rising 0.7 percent. At the other end of the spectrum, technology lagged behind with a 3.4 percent decline.
Among the leading stocks in the OMXS30 index, Addtech B rose 1.9 percent while Nibe B gained 1.6 percent. Hexagon B saw the weakest performance, falling 22.2 percent, unadjusted for the Octave spin-off, while Evolution was down 1.9 percent.
Measurement technology company Hexagon is trading ex-rights to shares in Octave and fell 7.7 percent, adjusted for the distribution.
Investment company Kinnevik confirms that Helena Saxon is a candidate in the company's ongoing recruitment process for a new permanent CEO. The statement follows an article in Dagens Industri where the business daily, citing sources, highlighted Saxon as a top contender for the CEO position. She served as CFO of Investor for a long period. Kinnevik rose 2.6 percent.
Chip company Silex is rising again against the backdrop of surging sector peers in Asia. The stock was up 3.5 percent.
