The Stockholm Stock Exchange started Friday's session with modest gains.

Brent crude is trading at just under 97 dollars per barrel. U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran against levying fees on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, urging the country to cease such actions immediately, according to posts on Truth Social. The statement ramps up pressure on the fragile ceasefire between the two nations that began less than two days ago.

As of 09:21 CET, the blue-chip OMXS30 index was up 0.31 percent at 3,088.93. Adjusted for dividends, the OMXS30 rose 0.33 percent. Shares worth approximately 1.4 billion kronor changed hands on the Stockholm bourse.

Technology led the major industrial sectors with a 0.98 percent advance. At the other end of the spectrum, energy lagged behind, falling 1.63 percent.

Among the leading constituents of the OMXS30 index, Skanska B rose 1.0 percent, while Hexagon B gained 0.9 percent. The weakest performers were Ericsson B, down 1.1 percent, and Volvo B, which shed 0.3 percent.

At the opening, investment firm Industrivärden released its Q1 figures. Net asset value stood at 472 kronor per share as of March 31. The stock climbed 0.1 percent.

Real estate company Atrium Ljungberg reported rental income and income from property management for the first quarter of 2026 in line with analyst expectations. The stock fell 5.6 percent.

Mining group Boliden is taking a 700 million kronor impairment charge related to its Garpenberg mine in its first-quarter results. The write-down stems from damage caused by unusual seismic activity at the mine in March. Boliden reiterated its assessment that the production halt will have a negative impact on EBITDA of 400 million kronor for the quarter. Boliden's shares retreated 0.2 percent.

Peer Lundin Gold increased gold production at its Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador during the first quarter. Gold output reached 119,742 ounces, compared to 117,313 ounces in the same quarter last year. In the fourth quarter, production was 199,483 ounces. Gold sales were slightly lower at 115,308 ounces (117,641). The company stated it is well on track to meet its 2026 production guidance of 475,000 to 525,000 ounces of gold. Lundin Gold rose 0.1 percent.

Home automation company Plejd reported significantly higher revenue and EBITDA for Q1. The company also announced that it will not move from the Spotlight Stock Market to the Nasdaq Stockholm main list until 2027. Plejd surged 12.4 percent.

Construction group Skanska has signed a contract to build a high-tech facility in the U.S. worth 1.3 billion kronor. Skanska rose 1.1 percent.

Industrial company Engcon's CEO Krister Blomgren is stepping down after 15 years. The board has appointed the company's founder, Stig Engström, as the new CEO. Engcon shares gained 0.5 percent.

A series of rating changes were noted among this morning's analyst reports.

ABG Sundal Collier upgraded New Wave to Buy (Hold), reiterating a target price of 115 kronor. The stock rose 1.9 percent.

SEB downgraded Synsam to Hold (Buy), maintaining a target price of 70 kronor. The stock fell 2.5 percent.

SEB and Pareto Securities both upgraded Instalco to Buy. The stock increased 2.9 percent.

SEB downgraded Cint to Hold (Buy), reiterating a target price of 4.50 kronor. The stock slipped 0.3 percent.

Handelsbanken downgraded Getinge to Hold (Buy), with a target price of 205 kronor (225). The stock fell 1.4 percent.

DNB Carnegie downgraded Hexpol to Hold (Buy), with a target price of 82 kronor (87). Hexpol shares were trading unchanged.
